The restaurant at hotel MONday KYOTO KARASUMANIJO operated by JHAT Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as JHAT),
We will reopen from breakfast on Friday, March 14, 2025.
After undergoing a major renovation, we are now able to provide a more comfortable space for even more guests.

This renovation has significantly increased the number of seats and installed a new projector.
In addition, the menu exclusive to hotel MONday Kyoto Karasuma Nijo restaurant has been revamped, allowing you to enjoy an even more special and comfortable experience than ever before.

①Significant increase in number of seats

The restaurant hotel MONday Kyoto Karasuma Nijo has undergone a major renovation, more than doubling its seating capacity from 54 to 130. This has created a new environment where even more guests and travel agencies can enjoy their meals in comfort.

② New projector installation

In addition, a new projector will be installed, making it possible to use the room in a variety of situations, such as corporate meetings and seminars, and presentations at school trip destinations.
It can now be used as a multi-purpose space rather than just for dining, allowing us to meet a wider range of needs.
Additionally, to improve customer convenience, a ramp has been installed at the main entrance, which previously only had stairs, allowing those with suitcases or large luggage to enter and exit more smoothly.

3) Limited menu also renewed

With the extensive renovation of the restaurant, the food menu will also be revamped.
We have started serving Kyoto's specialty, "herring soba," allowing you to enjoy a taste that can only be found in Kyoto.

Efforts to combat overtourism. Providing free shuttle buses to tourist destinations from November 1, 2023

In Kyoto City, overtourism has become an issue, with some route buses that pass through tourist spots becoming congested with tourists, and this is also affecting the lives of local residents who use the buses to commute to work, school, or hospital.

JHAT Co., Ltd., which operates hotel MONday Group, is concerned about the current situation as an accommodation business that operates facilities in Kyoto.
As part of these measures, starting November 1st, the company will provide shuttle buses to tourist destinations for guests staying at its hotels.
As the first step in providing this service, we are operating a shuttle bus from hotel MONday KYOTO KARASUMANIJO and Kyoto Marutamachi to Kinkakuji Temple, Arashiyama, and other locations.
